woops...not been blogging for a while... but anyway i have been kinda caught up with knowing new people, and playing games, and so on and so forth.
but anyway, ac team 2 lost to cat high 1. i suppose it was expected, and this time there were no scrwed up adjudicators to kill us, but there was still a big disappointment. at the same time, ben teoh killed both teams for a thoroughly screwed debate... haah... wonder if i should have taped it if i knew it was so bad. sigh. so many new points came out in the thrid speakers... and there was so muich repetition on both parts, that i at some times thought that there were too many examples and not enbough substantive... i mean there was like 1 major point per speaker for our side of the house
anyway. that aside, today we did get briefed on rmun by alvin tan. hmm. they did manage to get a third team for r mun and it was italy... anyway apparently our liason officer, claudia (ex-NY) is not being very helpful by gettin gus italy or something... well anyway if there really is a problem maybe lucas can go rectify it... after all he says that he is the "grandfather of debate" and he claims that he knows every single scandal and thing that goes on in the debate circle. well anyway, since he knows at least half of the pple in the debate circle (the female half. hahahaha) thats not to be surprised at. anyway, we are now gonna face mgs 1 in the quarters. well this basically means something. either that 1)acs is not gonna get top 3 like last year or 2)mgs is not going to win like last year. well since i'm on acs' side, i dun need to tell u which one i would rather want... but anyway, whether whoever wins, i just hope its a good debate, and there's a "high level of exchange" like the chairpersons tell us all the time... haha. anyway. that aside, the rest of the teams are kinda evenly matched, i would suppose, perhaps ijtp 1 against chs2? i dunno... well chs got into quarters anyway, so that must mean they have some standard anyway.
for that matter, no sch managed to get both teams into the quarters, which is kinda good cause that means if you're out, you're out....
but back to rmun, our third team is composed of kal, alistair (pre-ib guy), ivan cheng, jonathan mcclure and some other pre ib guy. interesting that jonathan is already in r mun even though he is only sec 2. the funniest thing is that ivan cheng is GA, which is pushing for anti-gay.... wahaha sorry inside acs joke... ivan cheng is like one of the most gay pple around and he's pushing for anti-gay... well that aside, we can now dominate rmun more! haha.... anyway so that's basically about it...

whee. im happily (or not so happiliy) doing my work now. yeech. so much work... my group id full of damn slackers man.... sigh... now i have to do the project kind single-handedly. very painful. but aside from that

chen shui bian gets prezzie. lalala. by 0.2 percent of the vote somemore. i tell u because of that stupid bullet. i bet he shot himself just to garner sympathy votes. thus opponent lian has called a re election.
oh yeah. the singapore pple finally caught the stupid mats who came from johor.
i tell u those mats damn stupid one. here's their logic:
"well we better escape this huge johor so lets run across the strait to that teeny little pulau tekong where its so much harder to hide. oh yeah i forgot. incedentally over 5000 troops are training there. but that's not gonna stop us rite? "
haha... stupid mats... well they got caught in the end la.... so lame. tsk tsk.
honestly they shud have just stayed in johor. u see the 4th guy is still on the run and stupid malaysian police havent caught him yet.
mm. well. also i found out that i sound like a giant teddy bear. how interesting. besides that, i also have this interesting piece of homework where i record down a speech and then i hand it in... whee. so fun. should be no prob for all us debaters.
mm. i also found out that my maximum height that can touch when i jump is 2.93 metres. not sure what that means for my bball but nevermind...

sigh. i left for a short while, then i come in and find that my bro has deleted my entire blog article by closing this entire posting window! bllody hell... i swear i can't wait for him to leave in august when he gets married and leaves for his own damn house...
anyway. i shall attempt to painstakingly (emphasis on pain) reconstruct the entry that i had been typing fr 2 hours...
well i went to ophier. the first night i went to ncc hq at 9 pm. it was kkinhda ok, wer went to the ph to go asleep. well. floor was kinda hard andnall, plus no real sleeping facilities, but i suppose no one expected us to march all the way to the artillery barracks (where they let us sleep in for camp feast the other time) to sleep cause its so far away and we're only gonna be staying for one night anyway. so we go to the mph anbd sleep. was actually a little frosty, cause of the nice bereeze that was blowing, plus the mph is an open area... anyway i used my towel as a pillow and happily drroled on it some... haha watch out for the towel, u will see some interesting things that happened to it... andway the next day, most of us dint really get much sleep, but we set off anyway. haha. we had saf breakfast (kinda sucked) and went up the bus. well the bus ride was quite long, we ended up getting stuck at a jam at tuas, of all places, cause we were using the second link... haha and i thot the whole of tuas checkpoint was always very deserted... anyway it was like a 2 hour jam, so even though we were really noisy (the clts had to tell us to shut up sometimes, but we dint really listen to them haha) most of us still eventually fell asleep due to the long journey. also, when we wnt up the bus, in classis ncc planning style, we happened to not put our bags in the cargo hold but instead brought it with us!!! the result was that the cabin was super crowded... and there was like no more rrom left on the center walakway cause all the damn bags were occupying it.... hmph. why dint they just ask the bus uncle to open up the cargo hold i wonder... wouldve been so much easier for all of us... anyway, but that aside, we reached the resort at gunung ledang (malay for mount ophir) around 2 plus... we had buffet lunch (yay) and then proceeded to get our rooms and settle in and all... i found out that since there were only 5 acs guys, i was the one who had to go with 3 neighbourhood sch pple in a group. but they were ok. they were from bukit planjang govt high and they were really fit.... aside from that they were also pretty friendly and stuff... anyway we settle in, take a bath, go for a buffet dinner (yaya) and we have out breifing for climbing up the mountain.... anyway after that we get this super tons of rations to go up! well it was like super lot, and i dint really see the need to bring so much stuff up... but i happily forget, at the same time, to put my towel with my sleeping bag, and put it with my wet clothes. yaa.... oh well. the next day we get buffet breakfast, and then we go off to base camp. well i happily brought up 8 litres of water even thought the min was 3 litres. well that made my pack like 18 kg... sigh... very hard even for a big guy like me.... so i nearly died here because of all the stuff that was being carried opn my back. yeah anyway my acs mates were starting to act a little bitchy when they carried josh's bag, cause it was also quite heavy. but the thing is, was there really any need to bitch? anyway, when we finall yreached base camp, we had some time to cook (oh yeah thx josh for carrying the stove up for me) our lunches, then we set up our tents, had lunch (rice, some pre-prepared curry thingies which were really nice) then we got rained on. damn. so we happily retreat inside our tents, to only find that they are not waterproof. what the ___ man... how lame. so our tents all got flooded. the acs tent was especially water-prone, because it had this mesh theingy at the top of the tent that let in especially a lot of water... and i guess that their position was just worse than us. anyway, after the rain, we spent the remaining time from then till about 7, when it became dark, to cook, and waterproof our tents. some people went to bathe in the river (mostly the mats) but i dint.... anyway i used my towel to clean up some of the water and put it back inside my bag.... wet clothes bag that is. haha. anyway i went on to play poker card with the neighbourhood sch pple, and thankfully they all knew how to play dai di. yaya. we love card games man... so we had a briefing, and the guide told us that east was slow, since they like only came back by 7 30. anyway, we all went back to sleep, and thankfully it dint rain on us. well at least not in any measure that could leak thru the tents. haha. anyway, the next day i made sure my bag was like only 3 kg (cause i had a small detachable bag from my haversack) and we found that our guide was UBER fast... i mean he could have run up the mountain if he wanted... haha. but in the end we charged ahead (we were alpha company) so fast that we reached the summit by like 10.30... haha. however that just meant that it was just more tiring. i mean most of the time we were going it by sheer willpower alone man....i thot i was gonna collpse some times on the trip... well it was really really tough. even the other acs guys were very shack. but the weird thing was that the people who were more fit than me were more shack than i was. or maybe they just didnt have enough willpower. so anyway, we finally made it to the summit! yaya. dunno why we stayed there for so short tho... like only 20 minutes? a little too short in my opinion... anyway we went up and down, but somehow i lost my rock that i brought from the top of ophir... oh well.... it was only a rock anyway... haha.. so we go down the mountain super fast and find that the other teams are 30-50 mins behind us. so fun. so our guide proceeds with blistering pace to base camp, and we reach there by like 3.30. so fun! i went to spend 2 hours in the river just playing around and collecting water to drink. i wiped myself off with my towel *hint hint* haha. anyway, so we went to cook dinner, then we went to sleep. but to quote shii ann from survivor all star "mother nature can be one forceful b**ch" haha so it was so ironic that after our commanding officer said that mother nature has been quite kind to us, then it rained cats and dogs... damn. stupid mother nature... im gonna slap her. haha. anyway so it rained out on us! all our tents were flooded to some extent. my acs frens had to bail water out of their tent at 3 am! so bad. but we were ok, just that cause im a big guy, my feet went all the way to the otehr side of the tent so they were wet... and the sides of the tent were damn wet too so i had to cover myslef with the towel again! which has not happily been drying out these past few days... haha. so the next day, everyone is super shack, (my fren from neighbourhood sch dint slp at all!!) we all cleaned up and left our tents for air and sea... wonder how fish did? well u can all go see his blog if ya wanna know. so anyway... we climbed down, had a buffet lunch, and went home. we of course all cahnged and almost everybody went to buy the gunung ledang shirt. was quite nice. so anyway. that was it! at the end of it all, i had some hell of a lot of stinky stuff, especially my towel! eww... it was about to become some bio-organism... haha
but at the end of it all, it was a fun trip. at least it was good experience. got to know josh better, and strengthened my friendship with him. yay. but i also found out that 2 of my mainstream ncc mates were bitches. they were damn selfish throughout the whole trip and complaining like nuts... bloody hell la... i mean we never complain so why should u complain so much? ga...
well, nevermind. anyway, i would have liked to go tor the debate gathering on tuesday! oh well, nevermind. haha. so how y'all been doing? tag pls.. haha
