Dessert

Burst of liquid, thick dripping miasma
Slick with little nuggets of gold
Witness the apex, the pinnacle, the birth
White with milk, this pure blank slate

then plunge

down, down, down
through this powdered frost drunken
with fiery passion, pirouettes of pink
with lucid warmth, olden orange
with seething envy, grating green
unsearching melancholy, bubbling brown
damning anger, burning black

and find

silent cubes, absence of color
a dead man's chest of sins and hates
little soft seeds maroon
and clear white ones, progenitous

all mixing

this flashing metaphorical
amalgam flavorful and sharp
cuts clear, with unbearing cold
melting, melting to this
browned primordial soup

artificial

and it comes clear all at the end
life like a rainbow colored bowl
of ice kachang, no less
is thus so cold and contrived

but sweet

Null

Anticipation and Desperation!
embolden this self-same regret,
and these unspoken words a collation,
of post-its that remind us to... forget?

screaming their own silent deathwish,
they lie scattered, scared, scampered;
casting our torn nets we drag up these fish--
only to return them, forlorn-riddled

so we tread the ice of memory
and it seems to hold, unfamiliar
or breaks at us with Tongues of Faerie,
of the past this immutable reminder.

those fish we would savor,
in that sea we would Drown--
but their sweet empty flavor
is but a melodic lulling sound..

falling away to nothing
